What are the Liberal Democrats all about?

What it means to be a member of the Southport Lib Dems
- You know that you are playing your part in creating a decent society, and a clean environment.
- You have an equal vote with other members in choosing the party leader or the candidates for local elections.
- You can attend national or regional conferences and help shape party policy.
- You can put you name forward to be a candidate or hold office in the Party.
- You will receive periodic newsletters from the Southport Lib Dems, the Regional Party and from HQ in Westminster.
- All members and helpers receive our local newsletter and are warmly invited to attend all social events.
Southport Liberal Democrats Executive Committee
The Executive Committee is elected once a year from our members. The Exec meet regularly to discuss campaigns, organisation, fundraising and so on. All members of the party can attend most of these meetings. We are always looking for people with special skills who can help the Committee and the Party. (Such as website maintenance and design, computer skills, voluntary organisations experience.) If you would like to know more - please get in touch .
